The film begins with the birth of Parshuram, the sixth avatar of Lord Vishnu, in the home of a sage and his wife. The child grows up to be a brave and righteous warrior, who is devoted to his parents. One day, he is asked by his father to kill his mother, who has been accused of infidelity. He obeys his father and beheads his mother, but then asks for a boon to bring her back to life. His father grants his wish and also gives him an axe as a weapon. Parshuram then vows to use his axe to eliminate all the evil kings and warriors from the earth. He travels across the land, fighting against injustice and oppression. He also encounters various gods and goddesses, such as Lord Shiva, Lord Narada, Lord Indra, Goddess Gauri and Goddess Gayatri. He falls in love with Gayatri, who is the daughter of a king. However, he does not approve of their relationship and tries to kill Parshuram. The warrior, enraged, strikes the king dead, and carries on with his life of bringing peace on earth. His next encounter with Gayatri will be when she is reborn as Sita, and is in the process of marrying Lord Ram, another avatar of Lord Vishnu.
